How do I send a SMS Text Message Alert to Residents?

Updated over a week ago

What is a SMS Message & what is it used for?

A SMS notification is a type of message that managers can send to Residents, even if those Residents have not created a Resident Profile on the HOA Messenger Mobile App. Unlimitted use of the in-app messaging feature is free, so we recommend that be the primary method of messaging with HOA Messenger. However, we understand there may be some Residents who’d rather not download the app and create a Resident profile, so the SMS-Alerts feature was designed to help HOAs close the gap so they can still include all Residents in their HOA Communications; even if some Residents do not create a Resident profile on the mobile app. All you need to send a SMS Message is the recipient’s phone number. 📟

SMS Alet FAQs

  • Q: How does the SMS Alert Feature Work? A: The SMS Alert feature allows you to send messages directly to residents' phones using their phone number. This works as a standalone system and can be especially useful for reaching those who do not have a smart phone or haven't signed up for the app. For example, if you have 100 units and 90 people have signed up on the mobile app, you can add the cell phone numbers of the remaining 10 residents and when you send a SMS-Alert, the message will be sent to these 10 people via SMS and also reach the other 90 people who have signed up on the app, who will receive the same message via push notification.
