How much does HOA Messenger Cost?

Pay-as-you-go features

Payments Section

For HOAs subscribed to the Premium Plan, the optional payment processing feature involves a $1.50 transaction fee plus 3.5% of the total amount for credit card payments. Payments made via ACH have a $1.00 transaction fee plus 1% of the total amount. These fees are added to a resident’s payment, so there's no cost to the Association or Manager. As an example, a resident making a $100 credit card payment would incur a fee of $5.00. That same payment made via ACH would incur a $2.00 fee.

For HOAs on the Free Tier, the optional payment processing feature involves a $3.75 transaction fee plus 3.9% of the total amount for credit card payments. Payments made via ACH have the same transaction fee plus 1.9% of the total amount. These fees are added to a resident’s payment, so there's no cost to the Association or Manager. As an example, a resident making a $100 credit card payment would incur a fee of $7.65. That same payment made via ACH would incur a $5.65 fee. Premium subscribers pay lower transaction fees.

SMS-Alerts/Unregistered Resident Email Communication:

A SMS notification is a type of message that managers can send to residents, even if those residents have not created a resident profile on the HOA Messenger Mobile App. Use of the in-app messaging feature is free, so we recommend in-app messaging be the primary method of communication with residents. However, we understand that there may be some residents who’d rather not, or cannot download the app. Therefore, the SMS-Alerts and non-app resident email messaging features were designed to help HOAs close the gab between residents who have downloaded the app and those who have not so that all residents can be included in HOA Communications. Use of these features costs $0.03 per Message sent. We provide a complementary $2.00 balance when you sign up so that you can utilize test out these features and determine whether they'll work for your specific HOA's needs.

Mail Feature

We understand that it’s still required to send certain info via traditional mail, and we can help with that too! Our Mail feature allows you to upload pdf. documents and track the status of their printing and mailing via USPS. Our printing and mailing rates are competitive and can be reviewed in the mail section by logging in with your Manager profile on desktop application. The complimentary $2.00 funds balance can be used to test this feature out as well. The Mail Feature Pricing is listed in the Mail Section of the Web App

Expense Feature

Premium subscribers are able to process vendor invoices and pay bills through the HOA Messenger Bill Pay Feature. Use of this pay as you go feature will cost 1% of the total invoiced amount with a $1.50 minimum charge and a $6.00 cap. For example, a $30.00 payment would incur a fee of $1.30, and a $1000.00 vendor payment would incur a fee of $6.00. This fee includes use electronic approval process, where signatures authorizing payment can be obtained electronically by up to two people.

Resident Web Portal

Residents of HOAs on the Premium plan are able to access their HOA Portal via the Web Dashboard in addition to the Mobile App. CLICK HERE for a comprehensive overview of the Resident Web Portal.

Double-Entry Bookkeeping Feature

Premium subscribers have access to use our Double-Entry Bookkeeping suite of Features that can help you keep track of who owes what, and when. You'll also be able to maintain costs $20 per month per HOA if paid for on a year to year basis, or $25 per month if paid for on a month to month basis. Document Folders

Premium Subscribers are able to create document folders and manage viewing permissions for each file so that you can organize documents in a more comprehensive manner and ensure sensitive information is accessed only by authorized individuals. Learn how to create folders HERE.

Hide Certain Features from View

Premium Subscribers are able to remove unused features from the resident view to simplify the interface and enhance the user experience by removing unnecessary features that your HOA does not need to utilize. For example, if a specific HOA does not have amenities, then you can hide the Amenities feature from appearing on their mobile app. CLICK HERE to learn how to hide certain features from Resident view.

Lower Transaction Fees for Premium Subscribers

Homeowners for HOAs that are subscribed to the Premium plan will be charged lower transaction fee. Customized Violation Letter Templates

Premium Subscribers are able to create customizable violation letter templates, offering even more flexibility for HOA administrators who may need to send out violation notices that can be tailored to the unique unique needs of a specific HOA. CLICK HERE FOR MORE DETAILS.

Unlimited Email Correspondence for Unregistered Residents

Premium Subscribers can enjoy unlimited email correspondence with Unregistered Residents. Residents who register on the web portal or by downloading the mobile app are sent complementary email correspondences at no charge, even for HOAs on the Free Tier. However "Unregistered Residents" (formally known as "Non-App Residents") can also be included in email correspondences for $0.03 a message unless your HOA is a Premium Subscriber where Unlimited Email Correspondence for Unregistered Residents is included.

Unlimited Historical Visibility

Premium Subscribers unlock the visibility of Messages, Jobs, and Violations that are older than 90-days old.

Intelligent Auto Response

In addition to standard Auto Response, Premium Subscribers can unlock "Intelligent Auto Response", which uses the power of AI to generate dynamic responses to residents' queries based on the information from the HOA notes, allowing customer service to continue even when an HOA Administrator is not available or unable respond right a way.

Group Messaging

The Group Messaging feature is available to all Premium Subscribers and is designed to simplify how committee members connect and collaborate. The group messaging feature allows your HOA to easily create and manage private group chats for various committees - whether it's for landscaping, architecture, and social committees, or any other group recognized by your association.

Admin Plan

The "Admin Plan" offers enhanced administrative support for HOAs who need more hands on support with their bookkeeping, receivables and payables administration needs. Priced at $399 if paid for on a month to month basis or $3,828 if paid yearly (20% savings). This plan includes hands-on assistance with receivables and payables administration, monthly bank reconciliations, and a custom public-facing HOA landing page.
